Stratos (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the www.stratoscloud.dev website and the Stratos API. This page describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

• Account information: email address, name, and authentication credentials via third-party providers (for example, Google).
• Usage data: API request logs, timestamps, request counts, and performance metrics used for analytics and billing.
• Uploaded content: items and data you upload for indexing and natural-language search. These are processed and stored in your indexes to provide the service.
• Website visits: which pages of our public website you view and when, the site that referred you, your country, region and city, and your browser, operating system and device type, recorded with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no third-party cookies, does not tie a visit to you or your IP address, and gives us aggregate statistics only.

• To provide, maintain, and improve our services.
• To process your data and serve relevant search results.
• To track usage for billing and analytics.
• To communicate with you about your account or service updates.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. API keys are hashed using SHA-256 and never stored in plain text. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Enterprise customers can deploy Stratos on their own infrastructure for full data residency control.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate our services (for example, cloud hosting, authentication and website analytics). We may disclose information if required by law.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
