Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Stratos ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Stratos provides a managed semantic search API. You may upload documents, create search indexes, and query them via our API and dashboard. The Service includes free and paid tiers with different usage limits.

Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must keep your API keys confidential and not share them with unauthorized parties.
  • You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to upload content that violates third-party rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
  • Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code or content.
  • Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in a way that degrades service for other users.
  • Resell access to the Service without written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload to Stratos. We do not claim any rights over your content. We process your content solely to provide the Service (indexing, embedding, and search). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit.

Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for downtime or data loss.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratos is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
